Freshjive was conceived in 1989 by Rick Klotz and friends. It was created to represent their influences, which centred around skateboarding, surfing, snowboarding, music, nightlife, and all around Los Angeles inner city lifestyle. At the time of conception, there was no such thing as street wear brands fusing all these cultural influences. Rick and friends were heavily into skateboarding and surfing, but felt that surf/skate brands did not represent their L.A inner city lifestyle that revolved around the music and club scene.

Freshjive has transformed into a hot young label providing an individuality not always seen in other labels.
