Measurements Diagram

1. Height  (cm) - From the top of the head to the floor without shoes is the height. A person’s height usually determines whether he will need a short, regular or long fitting.

2. Chest  (cm) - This measurement usually determines the coat size. The measurement is taken with the coat off, around the body. Place the tape well under the arms, straight across the back, over the shoulder blades and over the chest in the front.

3. Waist  (cm) - Determines trouser waist. Place tape around body just above hip bones. Insert finger between tape and body and allow freedom of fit.

4. Neck  (cm) - Measure with the shirt collar unbuttoned. Place the tape around the neck at the height the collar would fall if buttoned.

5. Sleeve Length  (cm) - This measurement is taken with the coat on and the arms straight down at the sides. Place a tape at the seam where the shoulder meets the sleeve. Run the tape straight down to a point 2cm below the wrist bone.

6. Leg Length  (cm) - Outside leg measurement is gained by standing with feet together and trousers up on the waist (the waist centres on the navel). Measure from the top of the waist to the floor without shoes on.
